At The Laurels of Walden Park, we take great pride in ensuring that everyone feels like part of our family, and that they are treated as special "guests" in our home.

The Laurels of Walden Park employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. From the moment you walk through the front doors, the warmth and caring of the staff will begin to gain your trust and confidence, as they strive to exceed your expectations.

Unlike other facilities that use "contracted" staff members, each member of the team at The Laurels of Walden Park is directly employed, not "contracted". Each Team Member takes great pride in portraying "The Laurel Way of Caring", as they strive for excellence in providing only the highest standard of care and services to every guest, and to every family member and visitor. Amanda Dunford

Administrator

Amanda Dunford graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She later obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Dayton campus. After completing the Core of Knowledge Certification program at Ohio State University she became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

Her nursing experience includes both acute and long term care. She has a passion for long-term care as she has worked as a Director of Nursing in long-term care for over 5 years before transitioning to her current administrative role. Her professional goal is to provide quality care to people from all walks of life.  In 2011, she became a licensed nursing home administrator and continues to serve guests and families in Long-Term care. Overseeing both clinical and financial operations with integrity and diligence has always been her priority.

Aimee Doneyhue

Director of Marketing

Aimee is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 10 years’ experience in the healthcare industry.  She also holds a Bachelor’s  Degree in Healthcare Administration and is a United States Navy veteran.  In her spare time she enjoys writing and is even a published author.  Aimee loves spending time with her family which consists of her husband, who is a Marine Corps veteran, her four children and her two dogs.  She loves to travel and enjoys cruising in the Caribbean the most.

Abby Holland, PT, DPT

Rehabilitation Services Director

Abby graduated from Ohio University in 2007 with a BS in Exercise Physiology. She continued her education at Ohio University receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010. Abby began her career in a skilled nursing facility practicing as a staff Physical Therapist for 3 years before entering rehab management in 2013. Abby has served as a Therapy Director for a 112 bed skilled nursing facility and as a Rehab Program Manager for a 110 bed facility. She then pursed a position as a Therapy Operations Consultant focusing on rehab department compliance and documentation, policies and procedures as well as ensuring effective and optimal patient care in skilled nursing facilities. Abby is excited to return to a position of Rehab Services Director and join The Laurel Healthcare Company in promoting the highest level of independence and quality of life for our guests.
